just wondering if anyone can tell me if this would be a good move i have got an 87 sr5 extra cab and it has the origional 4y motor in it which is getting a bit tired. i have a 91 vn commodore dual fuel, its an auto and its pretty much buggered, just wondering if anyone knew how a hilux 5 speed and the diffs would cope with a vn 6 in it?

Some Toyota dealers used to sell Hiluxes new in the early 1990's with Commodore engines before a Toyoya V6 was available. The gearboxes in the Hiluxes are basically just a "Supra" box - normally a W55. They are not that strong, but should handle a V6. Dif
