If you perform a cut & shut operation on a vehicle which vehicles identity do you end up with?
For instance if I were to have an LH Torana front grafted on to an LX hatch rear would I have:
A: a 1977 LX hatch still
B: a 1974 LX hatch
C: a 1974 LH sedan
any combination of the above?
It shi ts me to tears when the media & state politicians refer to the Federal Government as "Canberra" |

As all of the identifying information is on the front of the car you would have an LH with a modified rear end. As joining 2 cars together is a serious endeavour engineering input would be required. I presume this would be your plan if you couldnt find Edited by user Thursday, 28 June 2007 11:46:31 PM(UTC)

You only have to be in front at the end of the race. |

Hi Jim.
What a minefield!
In realility, what you end up with is a 1/2 LH, 1/2 LX hatch with a LH chassis number & plates, which isn't a good look.
What should be done is to also graft the piece with the chassis stamping onto the LH front along |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
