Driving my panel van. its a 308 M21 and 10 bolt. im getting a vibration from around the gear box area. i got the tailshaft balanced with new unis. still didnt fix all the problems. but i had to do the clutch and when i pulled out the box. the brass bush in the back of the crank which holds the box input shaft just fell out. and its alittle loose in the hole. any help in this would be great. thanks......... does it vibrate when ur drivingand then put the clutch in ? does it vibrate in every gear ? was the input sharft sloppy or damaged and whats the rear sharft like lots of play ? did you put a new bush in the crank ? could be a few things good luc |

Gday, was thevibration there be four u did the clucth? i would have a look at bell housing bolts r they all done up? ck rear mount on gear box n ck engine mounts that there not lose or broken hope this helps

all the bolts in area are tight. there has always been a vibration there. its like when you driving down the freeway and you run along the fog line and it vibrates. its like that. all the time. under load. its alittle worse when i back off the throttle an

Are you sure it's not a bent rear wheel or axle?

Jvanner.I would fix the spigot problem before doing anything else it can add to clutch plate alignment/balance problems.

Hello,
It sounds like you may have a misaligned driveshaft.
check the angle of the gearbox, drivshaft and pinion angle.
a heap of factors can also contribute. broken gearbox mount, engine mount etc.
