I have a hx, 173 motor in my ute. It wont start at all. In the past 2 weeks or so, it has been using water, and struggling to start. when i remove the oil cap on the rocker cover, it has foamy white oil on it.
Number three plug, doesent have any compression.
I know the head gasket needs replacing, head machined etc. would this be the cause of all my probs.
how much would it cost (ball park) to get repaired, machined and put back together.
I am in melb.

chase up another head check its flat with a straight edge read up on how to reseat the valves replace the stem seals and change it over its a good way to learn cheers
