i took my wb ute in for a blue slip today, the mechanic knocked it back on the turning circle wasnt enough. if i remember correctly from a hz i drove years ago with power steering it had a poor turning circle aswell.
to top things off the mechanic buggered my steering pump. it was working fine when i took it into him. now i have no power assist steering at all. i did notice the pully is sitting further out than usuall so i assume it has popped the circlip on the shaft of the pump. i wonder if hes held it on full lock for too long or something. as i said there was nothing wrong with it when i took it in to him. does anyone have any suggestions on making the turning circle better.
ps i didnt think it was that bad to start with.

The pitman arms are the same length in power and manual steer setups but there are shorter arms that bolt onto the steering knuckle for power steering setups that give better steering feel. I have a wb ute with the long manual steering arms but am runnin

Hi There,
I agree with MuckUte about the long/short steering arms. Lots of utes/cars get converted to power steering without changing the steering arms. Makes the car VERY light (and dangerous) to steer.
I have several sets of short steering arms fr
