What would be a good Holley to match with my HZ 308 one toner? Not a high performance number just one with reasonable economy (when the wife’s in the car) and with a bit of performance when required. (Sunday drive on my own)

Rochestor Quadrajet gets my vote. :-)

But if you really want a Holley go for something with vacuum operated secondaries. You will use less fuel while just tootling around on the smaller primaries but sink the boot in, open up t

Wow Im suprised at that response.
I had a quadrajet for a few years on my HQ and it never ran smoothly even after a few rebuilds. I found there were just too many bits and nozzles and jets and balls and just things everywhere inside of them, just waiting

Get one rebuilt by a competent tradesperson a
