Hi guys i have a fuel sender out of a hz and was just wanting to know what is the best way to test it, could i just unplug the single black wire from my utes sender and plug in the other sender and just earth out the unit to the car body?

From memory you need to earth the sender onto the car as well. But yeah, that should work.
