HEY ALL I GOT A HQ GTS 4 AND IM CHASING A CONSOLE IM TOLD THE 73S HAD A HJ TIPE . AND FROM WHAT I REED ON HERE AND SEE http://cgi.ebay.com.au/H...DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem THATS NOT THE CASE AND WILL MY 4/73 HAVE EGR? SO BRAKE DOWN WHAT CONSOLE EGR IS THERE A WAY TO NO IF IT HAD P/S WHEN WHERE. SIR II GTS 4'S

The 73-74s should have a long console, with a long cutout, that take the belts plus heaps of rubbish.
It should NOT have a HJ one. Thas the one with the high arm rest.
Also a 73 HQ motor will NOT have EGR. There we no emission controls on a HQ. If

As trublu said it has the low long console with large hole at the rear, the 71/72 console looks similar but only has seat belt holders at the rear. a good console will set u back up to $300.

Yeah mine is a 7/1974 HQ GTS4 and it has the long cutout in the console. Not sure about the "no emission controls on a HQ" comment, mine definately came with a carbon canister and hoses to the carby.
