Im just getting back into the market after havn a company car. I need a heads up....
1) VZ Commodore V6 2005 model. 2) VZ Commodore V6 2006 model (MY06)
What is MY06? Is it a type of motor? What does the MY mean? Is it saying its just a new 2006 model? And finally are they both Alloytech? I'd appreciate the help.

MY06 = model year 06.
VZ was released in 8/2004 or thereabouts except for Cross8, which stayed as VYII (but with VZ engine) until about 4/2005. VZ are all Alloytec V6. The big difference between 2005 (8/04 on) and 06 (1/06 on) models is the V8 went fro |

As youre only interested in the V6, the only real changes were the slight loss in power output (pretty much only on paper) at the start of 2006 when the updated Euro emissions came in (this is also when the 6.0L replaced the 5.7L).
