Hi All,
I know that date codes on the 308s are DDMY (e.g. 12F4) but I was wondering if anyone knows if this format applies to the date codes on other parts such as headers, intake, heads, etc? If not, does anyone know the correct format?
Cheers Mark

Certainly does. Even to sttering boxes, steering columns etc. But not all 308's are like you have posted. Early examples up to 1972 are MDDYY. Plus any imported stuff like HK-HG gearboxes, 10-bolts, HQ Muncies etc are all MDDYY.
