Hi all, My 308 WB stato with an older style (circa 1988) Impco setup with model L converter has just started playing silly buggers. The car will start great on gas cold but once it's warmed up it will not start again, just turns over and won't fire. Flick it to petrol to start and then back onto gas and no problems runs great again, what could this be?? The car has been sitting idle for quite a while (7 years with the odd start and drive to keep things circulating) before being put back onto the road recently, could that have something to do with it? Lastly does anyone know what airfilter element these Impco mixers use, so I can order one from my local parts supplier as it looks pretty old and blocked! Thanks in advance Peter 202 and three on the tree, can't get more Aussie than that!! Edited by user Tuesday, 4 December 2007 12:48:21 AM(UTC)

If its an old IMPCO converter then I bet the water flow is probably blocked. Might be icing up inside the three stage regulator (converter) The water flow is suposed to stop it from icing up inside and blocking gas flow.

Looks as if the replacement airfilter has fixed my problem, the old one was seriously blocked I think, it now starts well on gas when warm. Thanks for the advice too guys!!
