Hi David.

NASCO is the acronym for National Automotive Service COmpany.

It was established by GM-H under the direction of Laurence Hartnett in 1936 when he was head of GM-H. It was the name given to everything associated with their parts & service n
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Im not sure if they ever supplied other manufacturers directly, as they were predominately GM-Hs retail arm. They did however supply lots of parts for other cars, other than GM, just like AC Delco or Motorcraft today.
