Has anyone got some information on the supercharged V6 that come out in the WH staesman? maybe a link to a website. Was it standard or an option? are they any good. maybe some power specs.

i think they had 171kw standard, select what year model you got, select car specs. Remember the statesman is a bit slower then an "s" or a clais du

It first came out in the VS Calais as an option from what I remember. I know VT's and VX's had em but not sure if it continued through to VY's or not. It was optional only on the sedans. We used to have VX Executive rental cars with the supercharger, but

Didnt know that VRs had them, i thought they all had pre-ecotec motors, but I know that the were avaialble in VS VT VX VY Calais and berlina i believe, S and SS also, yest thats right, SS!! but no one really got them as there is no advantage that im aware

The supercharger is only on an Ecotec.

They weren't in VRs.

They were released in September 1996 - some 3 months after the VS series 2 was introduced.

The magazine tests at the time used a Rubens Red VS2 Calais as the test car - Modern Motor even

Yeah, didnt think the VR's were running them, was 99% sure they were used on Ecotec's only. Stock they are pretty average, especially by todays standard as a late 6 cylinder ford, holden or toyota has more KW's. But the v6supercharged has got some good po

I did a transplant in a mates car - bought a wrecked VS2 Caprice S/C V6, and dropped it all into his VS Exec wagon. The thing went really, really well for a stock V6 - much less weight obviously was the biggest factor.

I agree shes a top performing donk, i got one myself! And id put her up against any 5ltr, ford or holden. got a redback catback put on her on Friday, BEUTIFUL sound, as most people may be aware, they are pretty hard to get a nice note out of. But for less
