Hi Guys, I'm in the middle of a resto on my HK Monaro and I was wondering about the numbers painted on my diff housing. I would like to know if the number painted in yellow is a part or pick number and same for the number painted in white on the front crossmember.
She's a very original old girl and I'd like to bring it back that way.
thanks in advance.

Paul,

Your car from memory is an early car and would have been assembled without a production broadcast sheet, these came in about January 69, so the codes used for your car would be very difficult to obtain.

When the Broadcast sheet was introduced

My car was built Feb 69, delivery March 69. The crossmember number is 2 letters above 7 numbers in white, the last number was partialy removed by surface rust. The diff numbers were painted yellow and still in very good condition. I would

Your car would have a "build sheet" as such. Picking numbers are painted or stuck on, like the crossmember 2 letter code or sticker like your RA and RB on your horn.

If you want to exchange info on build sheets let me know.
