I've got an EFI 3.3 motor whole just wondering if the bottom end of these are stronger
then of their older big brothers bottom end in say HQ-Z just thinking of putting
the bottom end in the old HZ and keep the red head in the car.
and the engine prefix VK was that for only EFI 3.3's
thanx dudes

Why bother with the red head , black complete engine is a big improvement over the red engine.

VK prefix is VK EFI. Rest were VL. Apart from the cam the bottom end is the same as any other blue or black motor. Youd be better off just using the crank and rods in the red block if you want to keep the red top end.

better to use the red block and swap all the stuff over this way you keep the original engine number and dont have to bother with pollution control applicable to black motor, run better ignition/cam timing
