Hi I recently found out that my 351c is a black motor built in Aus and I was told that there could be a difference with the common 351. What would the difference be. If anyone could help I would appreciatte it. does it mean different parts e.g. manifolds heads thanks

Referred to as pillow block, has bigger water jackets in the block thats all. the manifold is spread bore std, XY-A-B are square.

I think you might also find the distributer is different at the bottom of the shaft. So be careful is you plan on swapping dizzies over. Black blocks were the last of the Clevos. No dramas swapping heads and manifolds.

guys thanks so much that really helped. Cool so I have to keep it in mind if ever put msd. i'm glad now cuase i have seen a few edelbrock manifolds go on ebay and i wasn't sure to try and get any or not as someone told me that the deck hieghts were diffe

Heya,all clevo's are the same cept for dizzy fit points blocks have larger shaft base but can be milled down,im partial to twin points so do this often and as prev. posted water jackets,400 clevo is the deck hieght diff.you may well have a steel crank (4m
