Strange topic but simple question, I have a set of 15" rims on my VT with standard 65 series tyres , I have a set of 18" rims to put on what tyre height would suit as not to put the speedo out .maybe 35 or 45 series ?

Cloudy. Try this site out to work out what you need. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
I tried a quick check with a 205 and it said 50 series is 2.3% too slow speedo reading and 45 series is .9% to fast speedo reading. Paul.

Oi cloudy, you can figure it out like this..... 205-40-17 for example. 205mm wide, 40 is the percentage of width.. so.. 205 x .4 = 82mm. Multiplied x 2 for top and bottom walls =164mm. 1 inch = 25.4 mm... so 17x25.4=431.8mm. so... 431.8+164=595.8 mm tall
