hi i read alot about 308 and 253 ive had both i would go with the253 any day people call them boat anchors they are smooth and very tough mine pumps out 310 hp stage 2 shift kit straight gas in a one tonner runs 13.7 fast enough for the street ive seen alot off cars with good hp just to loose it on take off spinning wheels and for the 308/ broken cams all the time always something wrong dont for get its not always how much hp you have its the way you drive it the set up the wheels the weight the fuel the weather the person ive seen 500 hp engines wasted by 350 hp engines but at the end of the day we are all car lovers fast or slow rvis Edited by user Saturday, 5 April 2008 10:57:13 AM(UTC)

hey man can u let me in on some of the brands and specs of internals and work you have done.was looking at rebuilding a 253 soon and have always thought just build a stout off the line performer no wild cams etc.

no worries mate 253 bored 40th kieth black forged flat top pistons aclrace series bearings crow custom grind camshaft dont go to crazy on the cam shaft yellaterra heads mild port engine fully balanced stage 2 shift kit 2400 stall converter 3.9 gears ignit Edited by user Tuesday, 8 April 2008 9:29:24 AM(UTC)
