Have a 202 trimatic in a VB commodore.

The last few weeks it has been kciking hard when it down shifts.

This moring it started making a whining sound and then did not want to shift gear and jumping around before finanly shifting. Got worse as I drove. Pulled over would not get any gear then. Turned it off for about 10 minutes and tried it agin and it drove home with out any further trouble. There is no leaks so should be good on fluid but will check this first. Anyone got any ideas as what could be the problem.

Get it serviced by a Trans specialists, cost $150-200. Most likely vacuum servo and/or needs band adjustment. Have you checked the fluid levels?
