Hi all I,m just trying to find what year my 308 is from and if its of any importance.Number is Q81830P any help on this would be great.

Thats not a Holden engine number, its a Qld police number.

So does that mean that the cops have re stamped this motor for some unknown reason.Is The number is usually on the passenger side of the block cause mine aint there so thats probably why its on the drivers side.Are there any other spots that it would be.

if you want to find out what year it was from, look at the date casting above the timing cover.
