Hello, Im thinking of starting a wedding car hire/car hire business. My idea is to have 3 pre 1970 Holdens in mint condition and hire them on weekends/weddings/parties/formals etc.
Can anyone here shed some light or point me in the right direction?
Do you need a special licence to hire cars? What about insurance?
Any help would be great, cheers!

will vary from state to state but in SA you will need lisencing as an operator (acceditation) and for each car with annual inspections, if cars over 15 yrs you need age exemptions from office of public transport (OTC)not easy you will need public liabil

For the EH Limo in Vic we had to get a RHV (Restricted Hire Vehicle) licence from the Taxi directorate. As drivers we have to have a 'Drivers Certificate' as issued by Vic Roads. |
