i'm running a 202 ,3 on the tree and a 3.36 diff at the moment but no legs on the hwy, i've just got a 2.6 sals diff will it move ok or is it to far of a jump ,it's not a racecar just daily driver to work and back don't wont to change the box just yet (i like the 3 on the tree) any help would be great thanks

Hi hz dude.
2.60 will be too tall for the poor old clutch, but it would work if it was an auto.
3.08 is as tall as I would go with a 202 3-speed manual.

Hi HZ dude,
I think the top gear ratio is the same for Holden 3-speed box and Opel 4-speed. Dr Terry?
Years ago, I put a 2.78 diff in my LC Torana with mild 202 and Opel 4-speed.
It was too tall - the motor struggled to push the car in top g
