I am rallying a VC Commodore and want to replace the current standard low slung fuel tank with one that sits above the rear floor, possibly between the rear wheel arches. There are special aluminium drag racer tanks, but I am looking for a tank from another car that can fit. I want a tank of at least 60 litre capacity. Does anyone know what tanks may fit?

Gemini and Datsun 180B come to mind first hand but I am unsure of their capacity.

Maybe look into using a tank from a XR-T-W-Y ute or van or say a K-T-G ute. Many other examples if you look into it too. These cars share the same floorpan as their sedan counterparts and have their fuel tank on the rear seat footwell (where the backseat

Hi Guys.

80737K, the HK/T/G ute fuel tank has the same shape & location as HK/T/G sedan/wagon/coupe/van.

The Gemini & 180B are only about 50 litres. Check out an old 240K or similar they are located between the wheel tubs & should be larger than 50
