hoping to learn what the different materials were called in the HQ range
not chasing the colour just the name of the material used
ie 30A = vinyl bench seat?
30B = vinyl bucket seat?
**G =?
L, M, N, P, U
The DeVille came in some god awful curtain material and also a cord type
Also a question for Warren re GTS int 28X,Y does this exist its not listed in my HQ parts catalogue (M37928 May 77). You have stated there are errors in your book but the parts catalogue also has errors.
thanks for your help
Leroy

Yes I cannot find 28X/Y in the catalogue, not sure exactly where we got info on that, but will have to check. You might have found another error in our book.

As for material, Kingswood is rado, either black and white or black and black.

Yes 28X/Y for HQ GTS is an error, these two codes were not used. Note they are not listed in the facts section, sorry to have confused some people.

I found another error this morning, lets see how long before someone finds it.

For Mr Jones - **G= Raydo (BLACK), **L,M,N = Statesman, **R,U = Premier. Deville trim can be either Diamond Cloth, Royal Cord, or Devereaux depending on time of build. 81-89 trims are Kingswood, featuring vinyl with black/white houndstooth seat inserts.

Mr. Jones, All 80 series trims are vinyl/cloth and were used only in 1974.

Hope this helps.
