gday,
I recently fitted a reco quadrajet & new manifold, but in the process snapped the tube off the vacuum advance on my elec ignition. Is the vacuum advance on my holden EI unit the same as a points dizzy, are they interchangeable? It will save me buyin the part new if they are, i can just get one from a motor in dads shed.

Hi Nathan,
The HEI vacuum advance on the V8 distributors is definitely different to the points one (much smaller.) I got an exchange one about 5 years ago for $60 from Rarespares, but I dont know if they would accept the old one if it had the metal pipe
