well it looks like a lot of people read this toppic but not many replies. to the bloke that said coolant temp sensor. u were right. had a dodgy connection on the lead. done a bit of fix ya up job and all good. the car hammers now. got my bro worried with his 450hp turbo vl. just gotta put a manual in, bit of tuning and hold on. cheers

Good to see you got it...as you have found,the VL's downfall was crap insulator covers that let moisture in and corrode the connector/connection.
Not that anybody listens...Never pressure wash EFI engines or around the connectors.
