How does one know whether there 253 uses a rope seal or the other seal. All I have is the heads,block,camshaft and the crankshaft, what does one need to look at to see which one it uses. Edited by user Thursday, 19 June 2008 7:02:54 AM(UTC)

On the seal journal, crank will have a scroll on it if it is a rope seal. Neoprene seal journal looks the same as a bearing journal. Rope seal journal is a fair bit bigger too.
