Hi Fellas,

Help again please ?? !!

I'm fitting a kit to a red motor fuel pump (kit from Repco). It is the pump with the glass bowl.

How do I get out the inlet and outlet valves? The instructions just say 'Remove valves from housing'. I tried levering one out with a screw driver, but it didn't want to move. Do I just use more force?

To fit the new valves, the instructions say 'De-bur valve bores and fit new valve gaskets. Where nexcessary, stake valves in a minimum of three positions evenly spaced around each valve'. What does 'stake' mean?

You should see 3 stake marks in the body around each valve. These stake marks distort the die-cast to hold the valves in place. It is best to "de-burr" these stake marks prior to removing the valves at this will make removal easier. To de-burr, use someth
