Hi, Having problems with vn commodore. The car will be driving along just fine & all of a sudden just stop dead. Some times shows fault codes 41 &/or 42. I have already replaced crank angle sensor, re-wired dfi module, replaced dfi module 20 onths ago, checked wiring resistance, etc. When I replaced dfi module, problem dissappeared fo a while, but it is back now. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi again, Sorry forgot to mention that the car will restart normally after a couple of minutes or less. Mabee this will shed some more light on the problem. Thanks

Sometimes the multi pin plug at the D.F.I module can get corrosion on the terminals. Instantly the engine stops, get out, wiggle the plug and see if it starts. You can usualy see the corrosion as a green stain.

Assuming all the new parts are still O.K, the only other thing I can suggest is to check all earth wiring is clean and tight. Particularly, the one on the bottom of the module, battery to body, engine and ecu.

Hi again, I have just reset all fault codes again & taken the car for about a 40 min drive & touch wood,no trouble yet. I am just waiting for it to do it again. The only thing I am thinking is it could be in the wiring loom, or mabee in the computer o
