Hi All, I have a hq panelvan im doing up ,i have a 308 1973 qt2 tri block standard bore(needs rebuit)..I bought another 308 1978 11wt (30th)but its turbo pattern (found out after!!) should i spend money on a turbo trans ,g/box mount ,shifter,poss tailshaft or stick with the timatic block which ive got everything for?(but trans would still need checked etc), Which of these are better?..ps...Ive had an offer to swap the turbo block 30th for a 30th tri block all confusing!!(also have 3 253s)any advice answered and thanxz jim ... |

A well serviced Tri-matic will be just as good if not better than the TH350.
If you want to use a TH400 in the future I would keep the turbo block.
The turbo block you have is from a WB Statesman, so is a dead giveaway for an engine swap while the Q |
You only have to be in front at the end of the race. |

Thanxz...James ...thats what i will do .ill probably have to run it on gas the way petrol is going!!!!

The best advice I can give you is to cut down on the exclamation marks. There is a worldwide shortage of them and you are not helping

I think you need a nice HX V8 wagon Jim, swap the internals into the QT block and sell the turbo block. Keep one van and ditch the rest. see you at work LOL
