Is there a free way to get your code or must you pay a dealer, my alternator died and flattened the battery the code was not recorded by the previous owner.

normally there in the car manual but if not then you'll have to goto the dealer ship cause i'm pretty sure there all a different code

im sure you will have to prove you own the radio (car) they will give you the code for free.

Most dealers charge for the code - some are reasonable, but others will ask $25 or more.
What I've always, done, is waited until I've needed to buy something from Holden (even if it's just the small 5L oil filters), and once the transaction is processe |

Hi Guys. You dont have to go to a dealer, any reputable workshop with a decent scanner can get this info. Dont expect it for free, scanners & time cost money, just shop around. woohoo got it for free, I went to Plaza Holden in SA (free plug)asked the guy nicely and had my books with me, he says normally its $20.00 he said thats what Holdens charge them to get into their system ! anyway the nice man says I`ll give it to you ,What
