Hey guys,

Im getting a new Q-Jet carby with an electric choke and been told if i have an electric dizzy, to tap into a the positive on the coil...

I'm not sure if i have an electronic dizzy so can anyone help? I posted some pics at Old Holden?

Anyone able to confirm?

From the shot of the firewall, I can see an ignition module (electronic) mounted there, and the dizzy has an electronic pickup in it. So if the finned alloy box on the firewall is connected to the coil, then yes you have Electronic Ignition.

to the forum mechanic in an earlier page on converting to electronic ignition bye cutting the ballast wire to obtain 12 volts then running a new wire from the ignition to the coil isnt it enough to just cut the ballast wire to obtain 12 volts to the coil
