I would like to instal HD Holden drum brakes to my EH van. I have the front end king pin drum brake setup with 2 1/4" linings but I am not sure about the rear lining width.

I have seen on an original HD station wagon, king pin drum brake 2 1/4" at the front and drum brake 1 3/4" at the rear.

Does panel vans/utes in either late EH/early HD have 2 1/4" wide linings on all wheels or do they have the same setup as the wagon I saw?

Hi tranx.

All HD/HR utes & vans, as well as 1965 production EH utes & vans have 2 1/4" wide brake shoes & drums front & rear. HD/HR sedans & wagons have 2 1/4" wide brakes at the front but only 1 3/4" at the rear (same as EJ/EH rear).

Dr Terry.

Hi Alan.

As mentioned above, ALL HD/HR sedans & wagons only have 1 3/4" at the rear (same as standard EJ/EH rear). ALL HD/HR utes & vans have 2 1/4" at the rear. This is regardless of whether they are disc or drum at the front

There is nothing speci
