Howzit everyone! It never ceases to amaze me the amount of nonsense and un-informed statements bandied about by supposed experts, especially on the subject of certain cars manufactured worldwide by the likes of FORD and GENERAL MOTORS (Holden if you must)! Thats not to say that I'm an afficianado on the subject either! ANYWAY, I recently came across a fantastic PDF; http://www.fairmontgt.co...ndex/includes/docs/1.pdf Its a great story about a Ford plant called GEELONG that only wanted to build their XT/XW/XY Falcon GT's in two very special assembly plants - so they sent CKD (Complete Knock Down) parts to a place called BROADMEADOWS and PORT ELIZABETH (yes, the very same parts!) but someone forgot to tell them that the second plant was in South Africa, ho, ho, ho...! Fairy tales apart, this is a great reference guide and stops the BS. Regards, Peter.
