OK I have an old diesel gemini that I am "experimenting with alternative fuels with" But it seems to have developed a small issue. It is an 84 TE, and it will start no problem and drive. But after about 5 minutes of driving it will start to flash the alternator and fuel lights at me at maybe once every 2 seconds. But the weird thing is.. it goes away if I turn the headlights on, or use the brakes. So I am guessing if I am using electrical power, it goes away.

What could it be??

I had to have the alternator rebuilt and the guy could not find the exact right parts. But I have been driving on the new alternator for a few months before it developed this issue.

Any help out there guys??

Thanks
