The RHR door central locking mechanism on my VP works on about 1 out of every 50 activations. I have been told that broken wires in the door loom are a common cause. For a non-auto electrician, whats the easiest way to check?

The LH rear door on my VP did this and it got worse over time. Before it got to 1 in 50 I pulled the door trim off and lubricated the mechanism by oiling every joint I could find and then washing the oil in with WD40.

All fixed now.
