Guys
Mark Oastler has started a "thread" in the latest AMC similar to what I was trying to do a while back (http://www.fastlane.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17891&SearchTerms=definitive)
Hes asked people to make up a list of their own. How about we start one here and submit it. I'll make a suggested starting point with seven of mine from the original post:
XW Bill Bourke special; Norm Beechey's HT GTS350; Alan Moffat's Coca Cola Mustang; Bob Jane's ZL1 Camaro in 1969/70 427 guise; Peter Brock's 1979 Bathurst winning A9X (simply by how dominant it was). Pete Geoghan's XY Super Falcon; 2002 V2 7.0L winner of Bathurst 24hr race (#427)

The title is too loose for what it is intended. I know of many vehicles worthy of the title "Aussie Muscle Machines" in the mining industry. One that comes to mind has an engine that uses a traditional V8 engine as the starter motor.
What about the Hur

Probably correct, but the intent of Marks list ie his "Top 10 Dream Garage" makes the title clearer. Hurricane and GTR-X are fantastic and id love to have both, so maybe we could add one of them to a list. To me theyd be closer to the bottom of the top 10 |

I`d go for an XU1 torrie even though it`s `only a six` but I like them heaps. On the ford side of things how could you go past an XY GTHO althought those XC `Cobras` look pretty cool! Looks does`nt = muscle I know!
I dunnoze I`m just a newbie

PJS, as the challenge set down by Mark Oastler was a personal choice of the top ten cars youd like in your garage, you could have whatever took your fancy. My only comment on the XU-1 and GT-HO is that performance wise they both pale in comparasin to othe |

Probably those belong on a different themed list altogether. A starting point for my list on the same theme would be:
HK GTS327; HT GTS350M; XA RPO83 (in black); LX A9X coupe; HJ Kingswood Sandman 308 auto ute (in black).
Make your list up to 10 |

HK1837, you could add Bob Janes LJ XU1 with the Repco Brabham motor. (it started as an LC) Cheers, Pete. Old Holdens never die, they just go faster. Edited by user Friday, 14 November 2008 3:06:08 AM(UTC)
