Quick question. Was the thread in the gearknob on a hg gts saginaw larger than the original hk small thread or the same?. I would like to know if possible

There are two saginaw gear levers, one for GTS and one for all other. So the yes the thread is the same for HK to HG GTS. Same thread on Opel, plus HK auto.

I thought the HK auto (powerglide) shifter knob had a smaller thread to the manual saginaws? correct me if im wrong. im sure someone will.

In answer to the original poster, the thread is the same as the gear lever is the same. There are in fact three saginaw gear levers - one for GTS, one for commercial applications and one for the remainder. The small thread is the same on the automatic flo
