Have taken the grill off and have pulled the cable and pushed the bonnet up and down but still can not open it..there is this steel member that is in the way as well..not sure what we are to do next. thanks

my VQ statesman and my VR ute and my mates VR wagon did the same thing. you can reach under and you can actual feel the hook for the spring that holds it in place its hard to explain its just a small peice of wire thru a slot under the latch, its a bit tr |

My hub was similiarly surprised when it would not work for him..we had to take it up to the panel beater this morning and they could not do it either, they had to take off the bumper bar off and thermo pad and now just waiting for new cable and spring..$1
