hey everyone... i just bought my self a vy series 2 v6 3.8L ute. but its not enough power. so i want to do some upgrades. but i dont know all that much about it? so im asking, could you please help me out here. and just give me a few ideas to play with. i was thinking about a turbo... or a side mount supper charger? let me know what yous think or if you have any sugestions. chears

talk to yella terra or crs they do bolt on super charger kits that double your power for bout the cost of a turbo |

it wont wreck the motor will it? few of my mates have told me that a turbo would stuff it after a year or so. i would have thought a super charger would have been worse if thats the case.

Sell it and buy a V8. It will be cheaper and worth more later on. A standard VY2 V8 manual with exhaust and a tune will get close to 270kW.

what if i just upgrade the cam. exhaust and tune it. maybe a new chip?

You could do that. Will cost you about $3,000-$4,000. In todays economic climate you might get away with a $5,000 turnover for a V8. A turbo or blower could run into $8,000 or more.
