Hello all
I have a good straight orignal vh ss well it was straight untill a week ago when someone decided to pinch it from out of my driveway, on the eairly hours of monday morning, I got the car back but its really damaged bad. It needs a new front end front guards, bonnet,and all new doors. I have just bought a 82 vh SL 202 4 sp for a parts car, I am under the immpression that the SL was what the SS was based off of, is this correct ?
I also want to use the pwr steering rack off the SL onto the SS as mine was stuffed, are these interchangable ?
Anyway the police never caught the scumbag that pinched it however they did pull some very good prints off the car. I am confident that he will be caught, I am lucky that I didnt catch him doing it as I am a gun owner.

The power rack needs to have a power steering column as well to work so if the SS was manual steering the whole lot should be swapped. It cost me about 400 exchange to get a reconditioned power rack in my SL/E.
The model number for the SS is the same as |

Thanks for letting me know mate, I am in newcastle and at this stage I have no interest in the driveline if you want you can post your email address and I will get back to you once ihave sorted out waht i need etc.

Also If anyone out there has a factory antenna to suit a vh, the rear plastic slats that go on the c pillar, the black moulding that goes on the grille and underneath the lights, and a factory a\c setup I really only need the evap\cooler at the front but

Im from newcastle and the SS was out the front, I had just changed the headlights, they were the orignal units and they were stuffed, it was late afternoon when I finshed and I left it out in the driveway waiting to adjust them when the sun went down.

This was my BILs reply:
SSs are hard to get stuff for, all the chrome is black anodized, that includes the antenna and those black mouldings that go under the healights and grille. I guess the next best thing would be to paint some chrome ones black.
