Hi Guys,

Ive finally accumulated all the brackets, spacers, bolts and pulley to add power steer to my HQ ute (w/ 6 cylinder).

Couple of questions

- is any HQ-VK 6 or V8 pump suitable? Are some more suitable than others?
- ditto for the box

For both, are some likely to be beyond a reco? Any tips on avoiding something that cant be rebuilt?

Also, am I right in remember Dr Terry is in the trade of reconditioning these bits?

Thank you.

i have thought about doing the same way as GeeR for my HQ wagon. my concern is that most cars i have driven of the HQ era with power steering seem to be far too light, and in my opinion, dangerous.

Modern cars today dont seem to be so light at high

I also have all the sapcer dimensions written down somewhere. The bracket/brace I was talking about is the same one Dr Terry mentioned.
