what temp should you set your electric fans to cut in at ? my 308 hq ute needs to know
if i have a 92 degree engine thermostat, is it any use setting the fan thermostat at 80 degrees, or do they just work against each other
at the moment, i have them set on (an indicated) 75 degrees, the engine seems really hot and the fans run most of the time
p.s. its about 32 degrees in the shade atm 5.30pm

I agree, set it just above normal operating temp.
A 92 degree thermostat is too high for an HQ. Even HX onwards ADR27A engine were 190 F (88 C).
From memory the HQ factory one was 180 F (82 C), so run that or a bit less for good measure.
