On this worked red head i have, was identified as a 149head (p/n 7420109) the pushrod passages are extrememly narrow. Is this just to locate the rod and prevent the rockers from twisting? Wont the rods wear by rubbing on the head? Although i suppose in principle it's not much different to running guide plates?

Just want to be sure as it's on Ebay and i don't want any surprises for the buyer.

And it will fit any red motor, right?

Plenty of oil around to lube them...I havent seen any rub....but i am wondering if you have the right pushrods? 149-186 pushrods are about 2-3 mm longer than 202 pushrods..and if it is a 149 head you need to use the longer rod.
