Hi I don't know if it's worth stroking my 351 cleveland to say 383 or 393 I don't know what the power/torque difference would be between 351 and 383,393 any idea would help and there are those kits on ebay using Procomp stuff for around $1200.00 is that ok or is that cheap crap. Thankyou.

I have heard alot of bad things in general about Pro Comp stuff. I would suggest spending the extra on the Scat 393 or 408 combo with the I-beams and cast crank for about $2500 or the H-beams and forged crank for about $3200. That is what I am thinking of

It's hard to know if a brand is good or not these days cause of all the rubbish they write in the advertising. It's starting to get pricy might have to leave it standard I'm not sure of the power gain either to make see if it's worth it or not.

The ebay Procomp kit is a bit hit and miss.
Some of the components are ok,some are crap.
I have one of their 383 cranks in mine and it has put out 564 hp so the crank is ok. You need to do some basic checks on the cranks as in regards to checking out si

cool i have just seen an add for Pavtec they have stroker kits with scat and eagle and they look reasonably priced.

What about those 434 clevo engines Pavtech are making for less than 20 grand.......unreal!!!

Might have too enter serious negotiations with the missus???

yeah they have the 351 to 434 stroker kit for $2505.00 and thats an eagle custom 4340 forged steel crank 4.000" stroke flat top pistons either SRP or Arias forged as well. I'm really interested in this the only thing is I would like to know the difference

Yeah, thats good bang for your buck, But that stroker kit is for a Windsor style block is it not?

You scared me for a second there it's cleveland 351 to 434 the windsor has 351 to 418 they have different ones so I guess there are a few the one thing I would like to know if someone out there has an idea what sort of power difference your looking at fro

The block is Dart which utilizes the best bits of the Windsor and Cleveland, and accepts the better flowing Clevo style heads.
It looks like they do alot of mods with the cooling system with those hoses tapped into the front of the heads? Certainly is va

Let us know. I been lookin at playin with a old clevo block i have had in the shed for 100 years. I have heard good and bad from the pro comp gear as well. but ya get wot ya pay for hey ?. .. . . . in the end lets face it 400 cubes is 400 cubes no matter

I would assume it is a hybrid block as the crank has a 1 piece rear main oil seal (am sure no clevo had that, they were all 2 piece). The timing cover looks Windsor, but as they state it has the 9.2 inch deck height. The ad does state that it Utilizes the

The block pavtek use is a dart block for the 434. I had my 393 machined up by Pavtek. They're definately worth it. A stroker costs bugger all extra than a stock cubed build. Basically 378/383/393/408 are all stock clevo blocks. Anything larger needs a lar

yeah I think I'll go for the 393 it sounds good as well, it's good to see that you have a good looking xb and quick to I know that the xa's xb's and more so xc's don't seem to be as popular but I love the shape dare I say it a little better than the xw's
