Hello , Can anyone answer this question,
If you have a good condition standard c10 auto ,and if you put a high stall in 3500 rpm will a standard box take it or should you have something done to the box to strenghten.
whats the cost these days to have your box rebuilt to suit if needed.
Cheers

At the very minimum I would be running an oil cooler and a stage 2 shift kit.

The cooler will help keep temps down,as a high stall of 3500 will heat the oil up pretty quick and auto boxs hate cooked oil!

The shift kit will also help the gearbox live

A stock C4/10 won't live without mods in the box but that's dependant on the power the engine has.

Thankyou for that XB351, car has 237hp rear wheels. What are the best mods to do to the box without going overboard with stuff i dont realy need.

Manualise the box and, extra clutches and do some oil mods. If you have a working box? I doubt it'd cost much to have the above done.

With 240rwhp the stock box should hold for a year or so if manualised. Enough time to build a box with the above mods
