g'day can anyone tell me if my 1991 yr model xf ute would be a t5? as it was a factory 5 spd

Yep T5's became the normal 5 speed when the XF series two was introduced late in 1986. before that they had the Sigma type 5 speed and then only behind the 3.3's.

yes, im just about to sell my 1989 xf ute, which has an ea/eb floor pan, and it has a ford t5 5 spd factory.

Easiest way to tell straight away is that the earlier 5 speed had reverse up to the left of first whereas the T5 has it down to the right of 4th.
