the odometer in my eb has stopped working, i`ve been told there is a cog in these that fail & if i replace it will fix the problem.
can anyone confirm this ?

Yes it's a little rubber cog usually grey in colour. The cog is exactly the same in all speedo's from EA-ED and all Commodores from VN-VS. I am unsure whether the electronic Fairlane/Calais style clusters have them though.

I have never done one but two of my mates have and neither said it was hard. Instrument cluster removal is a relatively easy job.
