G'day Guys
A mate has a '99 AU Falcon (240K Km) that is pumping oil out from the front of the head gasket.

Is this a common problem? Does this model crack heads etc? There are no other sign's of gasket failure, no mixing of fluids or air bubbles etc.

Sure we could pull the head go through the whole autopsy bit but if its a common problem then lets just park it and move on.

Thanks
Mike

Is it leaking where the head meets the timing cover?

If so you can remove the power steering pump, clean the area with a solvent and rub a sealant into the gap.

It probably wont stop the leak dead but it will slow it down heaps.
