Can anyone advise what a complete genuine HK 327 Series 1 Quadrajet carby might be worth?
Needing full resto but complete except fuel inlet (threads stripped needs helicoiling)
I've been told $1000 by Mick at MLP carbs but I've also been advised that one sold recently for $3,200.
Carb has part number 7027213 DZ date code 0048

Thanks Byron I'll list it on ebay and see how I go, I thought (hoped) that the $1000 was a bit low.
I'm not really into the HK's, weren't there two different 327 engines that are now called series 1 and 2 or type 1 and 2?
Earlier cars with the 7027213 DZ carby and the later ones 7029283 (not sure on the letter code if any)

Ebay will be your best bet, unless you are happy with an offer prior.

GMH did refer to the Canadian engines as "type 2" and published breakpoint PSN's for the introduction of them for the 4 x assembly plants, but the Canadian engines started earlier than those breakpoints and the carbs didn't change along with engine changes, the DZ carbs were used on some Canadian engines until the 7029283 replaced them. GMH never seemed to get exactly the same number of Quadrajets as imported engines and always seemed to have more carbs than engines, the 7029283 over-ran into HT as well and HT-HG carbs did the same into HQ.

The best way to describe the carbs for HK is early and late, there is only the two and they are as you state.

No. Engines were all together at the Tonawanda or McKinnon facilities, have exhaust manifolds, either a flex plate or flywheel and bellhousing fitted. Dizzy is installed and engine run on gas. Dizzy removed and placed with engine in crate.
